Easter

The festivities of Easter almost didn't happen at our house this year.
Our lovely children came down with stomach flu, in the tradition of "let's be sick every single weekend of 2013." It was the tail end of spring break and instead of spending our days at the park or at the zoo, we spent it close to the bathroom. Ew, ew, ew and double ew.

Luckily, they began to feel a little better and we decided that instead of nixing church and egg hunts that Sunday, we would simply put the kibosh on candy consumption.

On Sunday morning, welcomed a visit from the Easter Bunny...

Then, we dolled up our children and went to church, as we do every Sunday.
Last year, I took the CUTEST pictures of my Easter kiddos. This year, I was lucky to get any pictures. The kids still weren't feeling 100% and B was being a turd. Imagine that! A 7-year old with an attitude.

This, people, is what a 7-year old "attitude" looks like. And this is prime revenge portraiture that I may use to my advantage when B is older! Bwahahaha!

I'm not entirely sure how daddy conned Brock into cooperating, but it must have been a satisfactory bribe because that is a satisfactory smile! And Clarke and Cami look awesome too!
*edited to add: Brock informed me that daddy didn't bribe him to smile for the camera. Brock simply farted and that put a grin on his face. Ugh! Boys!*

After Easter dinner at Nanay's house, it was time for an Easter egg hunt with the Jamin, Travis & Libby. The kids waited IMPATIENTLY for the dads to hide the plastic eggs...

I can find at least 200 pictures of Brock in which he sports a kool-aid mustache.
It's reassuring to know that no matter how fast he grows up, some things never change.

Let the hunt begin!

He's got his "game face" on! Hehe.

Cami's first egg hunt!

He smiled! Jamin actually smiled for the camera Woohoo! This aunt is amazed!

Pretty light for a pretty girl.

Travis is the funniest kid EVER! Everything he says is endearing and hysterical.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again...

...and then resign yourself to the fact that you've got five, impossibly busy kids sitting at the same time, regardless of where they're looking and whether or not they are smiling and call it a day!
