Us. The update you've been waiting for...

We transplanted a tree in our backyard.
Gripping news, right?

Well, if you're three years old, a very big hole is a very big deal because you can throw things in it...
...like the dirt daddy just shoveled out of it...
...or you can hide when daddy finds out about the dirt you just threw back in the hole!
Boys and dirt-synonymous.
Apparently big boys like holes too.
Just a cool shot with the moon signaling to my DIRTy boys that its bedtime.

This week found us at the mercy of the flu.
Thanks to a relentless flu bug, the entire Renberg clan found themselves worshipping their toilets Sunday morning and suffered the effects this entire week.
I took Brock to the doctor TWICE this week because a dangerously low bicarbonate level landed him in the hospital last October following a similar illness and we want to avoid repeating that nightmare. His bicarbonate levels are good this time. Whew!

Clarke has expanded our garden to three times the size it was last year and spent a lot of time outside this week working on the garden fence (to keep out rascally dogs and a 3-year old garden terrorist). I hope that our amateur attempts at growing our own food pays off. Last year we sheepishly learned the hard lesson that pumpkin plants take over entire gardens. Who knew? What do you do with TWENTY pumpkins anyway????

Spring is an ordinarily busy time for a photographer--just emerging for the winter hibernation of slow-to-no business. Earlier this year, I passed up the opportunity to photograph four different weddings in anticipation of cuddling my newborn this summer. Of course, plans changed. Amelia came early. And now, I've got a fairly open summer schedule and very few prospects for summer weddings. Just this past week, however, work has begun pouring in. What a blessing it is to be busy again (except when you have the flu, of course)!
